Let the Adventure Begin
Journey into the remote wilderness of Northern Saskatchewan to our fishing lodge, perched on the edge of world-class freshwater fishery Wollaston Lake. Located just south of the tundra, this 800-square mile body of water is home to some of the largest Northern Pike and Lake Trout in the world. Whether you’re a baitcaster, spincaster, or fly fisherman, at Wollaston Lake we guarantee you’ll catch the experience of a lifetime.
Originally founded in the early ‘60s, Wollaston Lake Lodge was a pioneer in fishing up in Canada’s Great North
The lodge changed ownership in 1975 and again in 2000, when Mike and Judy became owners. Mike, a longtime guest at Wollaston, understood the potential of this place and had a deep connection to the big experiences here. He wanted to create a luxury lodge where others could make memories and feel connected to the place too. Once you step foot onto the property, you will be impressed by what they’ve achieved. The lodge’s recent designation as an Orvis Endorsed Lodge of the Year is further proof of the amazing work Mike, Judy, and the whole Wollaston family do up here.
Dream Lodge, Dream Fishing, Dream Destination
When Mike and Judy took over Wollaston Lake Lodge, they did so with the goal of building their dream fishing lodge. One that would do service to the beautiful surroundings and top-tier fishing in Northern Saskatchewan—a dream lodge, on a dream lake that would be home to the finest fishing experience in North America.
WHY CHOOSE WOLLASTON LAKE LODGE?
The goal has always been to give our guests cherished memories that will last a lifetime, and that’s why our guides are constantly learning, improving their own skills so that they can pass more knowledge on to guests. That’s why our staff to guest ratio is better than one-to-one. That’s why our fleet of Lund Pro-V boats were custom-designed for this lake. That’s why our majestic timber-frame main lodge and cabins were constructed to be as luxurious and comfortable as possible. That’s why over 75% of our guests are repeat customers. That’s why Mike and Judy are on property all season long, greeting guests by name. And that’s why, at Wollaston, we guarantee an unmatched fishing experience.
WOLLASTON LAKE LODGE FISHING
If you’ve ever dreamt of tangling with a huge pike or lake trout, our expert guides will show you the ropes and have you reeling in a monster fish in no time.
Start your day with a thermos filled with freshly brewed coffee, before heading to the dock and boarding one of our custom-built Lund Pro-V watercrafts. We like to hit the water by 9 a.m. and be back on land by 6 p.m., with a shore lunch offered in between. While you’re out fishing, you will have access to Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Walleye, and Arctic Grayling.
Maybe you’ve never fished before and you’d like to learn about spin-cast or bait-cast techniques and the artificial lures they utilize. Or as a seasoned angler you are looking to up your game a bit. Either way, our guides are skilled in teaching the new or recently initiated as you enter the sport or in assisting long time participants as you hone and further develop your skills.
Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing
If you’d like to learn a new fishing technique or add knowledge to your current skills, fly fishing takes you another step down that path. We’re pleased to partner with Orvis, one of the finest outdoor companies in the business. At this time, we’re one of few Canadian lodges that meet the Orvis Endorsed lodge program criteria. This partnership is a reflection of our outstanding fishing traditions and high standard of service both on the lake and on shore.
Fishing Trips with a Bird’s-Eye View
Grab a seat on one of our two 9-passenger de Havilland Turbo Otter float planes for an iconic Canadian fishing experience (if you look close, you may even spot a moose). Our fly out trips take you to even more secluded locations on and around Wollaston Lake, where you’ll continue to cast for trophy Northern Pike, Walleye, and Lake Trout and can complete your Canadian Grand Slam by landing an Arctic Grayling. Fly outs can be scheduled ahead of time or on site.
Top of the Line Guides
Considered to be some of the best in the business, our friendly and professional guides will ensure you have a safe and successful experience on the water. Your guide will help you land a fish of a lifetime and release it back into the lake, after snapping proof of you and your catch for the folks back home, of course. If you’re a beginner, don’t worry! Our guides have experience teaching all levels and know a variety of techniques.

GETTING TO WOLLASTON LAKE LODGE
For the first leg of your trip to Wollaston Lake Lodge, you’ll need to make your way to the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG)
From there, our expeditors will walk you through the process of getting to the lodge, and before you know it you’ll be here.
Arrival at the Airport
When you land in Winnipeg, you’ll be greeted by Dan or his team. They will escort you to your hotel for the night—the Courtyard by Marriott across from the airport. We advise you to bring an overnight bag for your stay in Winnipeg because we will transport the rest of your gear to the charter plane to make the flight out easier the next morning.
For guests who choose to drive to Winnipeg, arrive at the hotel no later than 10 p.m. Please let us know if you plan to drive at the time of booking so that we can arrange parking availability at the hotel.
The Chartered Flight
Expect an early morning! The next day, after a light breakfast and a cup of coffee, we will guide you to our chartered bus and right to the door of our charter plane where you can expect to be in the air at around 6:30 a.m. From there to the airstrip in Points North Landing, SK, is about a two-hour flight (the perfect time to grab some Zs before a day of fishing!).
Points North Landing
Once you land, a bus will transport you from the airstrip to the lodge (a 45-minute ride).
Wollaston Lake Lodge
You have arrived! A buffet breakfast will be available in the lodge upon your arrival and your guide will meet you either in the lodge or at your cabin to discuss your fishing plans.
After that, all that’s left to do is get out on the water and fish.
